Jessica Grimm serves locally in New York, as the Youth Coordinator for Family Ties of Westchester and nationally as the Project Director of What Helps, What Harms for Youth MOVE National. She is 28 years old and has been working as an advocate for young adults for the past 10 years. Jessica knows first hand the value and importance of youth voices being heard, by not having one of her own as a child. Her lived experience allows her the blessing to be able to connect with young people and work collaboratively on personal goals and system reform. Being the proud mother of 2 beautiful children, Jessica especially enjoys mentoring young woman that are parenting.

Jessica co-facilitates Westchester's Bravehearts M.O.V.E New York chapter which currently works along side the Department of Social Services and the Department of Community Mental Health on the Westchester Building Futures grant, which looks to prevent homelessness for youth coming out of foster care. Miss Grimm sits on various county committees and advisory boards. She has spoken at numerous events both locally and nationally on the importance of youth voice, engagement and involvement. Jessica currently works on the exciting nationwide wide Youth MOVE project, What Helps, What Harms. She will be traveling to Ireland this summer with Lacy Kendrick Burk, to bring this philosophy and initiative abroad!

Jessica will be returning to school in the fall to continue her education towards her MSW. She continues her daily efforts to promote better outcomes for youth. in her community and across the country. As, she always says, "there is healing, in helping".
