Cynthia Harris is the Administrator for the Nebraska DHHS Division of Behavioral Health Office of Consumer Affairs. Prior to this, she worked for Lincoln Public Schools, Visinet Inc., Better Living Counseling Services Inc, and the Friendship Home. Cynthia is an alumni of the foster care system and survivor of childhood trauma. She holds a MS in Human and Family Services Administration, two Graduate Certificates, a Bachelor of Science from the University of Nebraska. She will complete a second Master’s program May 2017 in Public Administration. She has helped train and certify nearly 200 peers in NE and led Quality Improvement initiatives to support the State's infrastructure of peer support services for adult, family, and youth. Cynthia currently supports DHHS operations for Peer Support both in community and in hospital settings, System of Care efforts, Nebraska Family Helpline, Network of Care, system transformation efforts, integration of TIC and CLAS standards, community integration, and Olmsted planning.
