Create an Account, Start Earning Points
If you are a registered member (it's free!), everything on our website is interactive, in that you can post comments on articles, talk with your peers in the forums, even spruce up your profile the way you wish. The possibilities on what you can do here are endless. And with those possibilities comes the points system.
What Are Points?
Well, let's say you post something on our website: a news story in our forums, a comment on another's post, a change in your profile. All of these things earn you points. And the more points you earn, the closer you are to obtaining great things. Maybe it's TA, maybe it's a YMN item, maybe it's a shoutout at the next conference. The possibilities are endless.
So, We Gain Things Just By Participating?
Yep. The more you help your fellow peers by participating in great discussions and posting awesome resources for everyone to benefit from, the closer you can get to us providing back to you great resources in the form of the things listed above. It's a win-win for everyone.
So, How Many Points Do I Get?
That's the fun of it. You won't know until you start interacting with our website. Points will change weekly and you may get more or less points for doing different things, so we encourage you to contribute in as many ways possible to get the most points quickly! Keep in mind that you have to make a meaningful contribution. If you just spam our website, you won’t get any point s and you may lose your ability to gain points. Think meaningful!
How Do I Track My Points?
Your points are displayed on the left sidebar on every page. There will be a meter to see how well you're doing, your points total and, if you go to the homepage of the website, you can see who has the most points.
How do I Redeem Points?
You can currently redeem points for store items by heading on over to our store of our website and purchasing an item you would like. When you get to the payment page, it will give you an option to use your points instead of money. We'll then see that you're paying by points and we'll ship the item to you free of charge!
For other things, such as TA, once you reach a certain number of points, contact us using the contact form on our website. Let us know what you would like to redeem your points for and we’ll work with you on getting that request fulfilled. Currently, we have the following things redeemable via points:
